hourly rate

At Dawni Sawa Interiors we offer affordable design packages - we operate on an hourly basis which is $175 an hour. This covers sourcing of materials, product specifications worksheets, creating CAD documents when needed, visiting the job site for walk-throughs, or visiting a showroom. When visiting a project over 30 minutes outside of the general San Fernando / Los Angeles area, an additional $75 per hour fee is charged for drive time. We understand that hourly rates can seem overwhelming if they’re not defined. After our initial consultation where we’ve had a chance to discuss your wishes and project scope we provide an estimate of hours it should take to complete the project. The estimated billable hours provide not only the design work, but client appointments, 2 rounds of revisions, site visits and detailed drawings (if required for the project).


initial consultation

The initial consultation rate is $150 per hour, with a two hour minimum. The consultation includes discussion of work scope, project ideas, we discuss likes and dislikes, design esthetic and we determine what plan works best for you and your project. If you decide to move the project along with Dawni Sawa Interiors, our team will create a design agreement for you within 72 hours of the initial consultation. The design agreement discusses the construction scope of work, design costs, billing and payment details. Once you return the design agreement with the required retainer, Dawni Sawa Interiors will begin the design process within two weeks or less. Retainers are determined by each project based on the total estimated scope of work and are later applied to the final invoice. 


DIscounts

Furnishings and furniture can be costly therefore we extend our discount to our clients. We feel this should be a benefit of working with an interior designer. With furniture, furnishings and services we share 50% of our discount on retail pricing when the discount is larger than 10%.
